How to spot a fake COA.

Nearly every UK peptide site says its products are third-party tested, and nearly every one of them shows you a certificate to prove it. Go and actually look at a few. Most of them do not survive thirty seconds of checking, and these are the five reasons why.

A PDF is not a test

Most certificates in this market are documents the seller produced themselves, or were handed by the factory they buy from. A PDF is editable — the compound name, the purity figure, the date, the lot number, all of it. If the only place that certificate exists is on the seller's own website, it proves precisely nothing.

Forged Janoshik reports are everywhere

Janoshik is the laboratory most of this market points at, which is exactly why faked versions of its reports circulate freely. A genuine result carries a task number and a unique key, and it can be looked up on Janoshik's own verification page. Never accept the PDF on its own — take the number and go and check it at the source.

Some of the laboratories do not exist

We have now seen suppliers build entire websites for testing companies that are not real, so the certificate links somewhere official-looking that they own end to end. Search the laboratory's name by itself. If the only trace of it anywhere is the supplier pointing at it, you have your answer.

Ask what is tested, and how much of it

“All our products are third-party tested” usually means one batch, of one compound, once, some time ago. Ask which compound, which lot number, and what date. Ask what percentage of the catalogue it covers. Watch how specific the answer gets.

Read the reviews, not the homepage

Trustpilot, Reddit and the peptide forums will tell you more about a supplier in ten minutes than any certificate page will. A seller controls their own site. They do not control what people say about them elsewhere.

We would rather tell you where we actually are than claim a testing regime we have not built yet.

Where we stand

A certificate proves nothing on its own. Including ours.

Every batch we take in is lot-numbered on arrival and recorded against every order it goes out on. Every batch also comes with a supplier certificate of analysis. The supplier’s details are redacted for commercial reasons, the results are untouched, and the vial pictured on the certificate matches the vial we send. It’s available on request.

Here’s the uncomfortable bit. Certificates in this trade get recycled between batches, reused across products, and occasionally invented outright. Some suppliers send their strongest material for testing and ship something else entirely. A PDF proves that someone produced a PDF.

That applies to ours too. Which is why we’re not asking you to take it on faith — we’re asking you to go and check. Independent retesting across a full catalogue runs to several hundred pounds a compound, so anyone claiming to have done it from day one is either extremely well funded or lying. We’d rather hand you the means to find out for yourself.

So test us. Take a vial off your own shelf, send it to any accredited laboratory you like, and see what comes back. Email us the lot number from any batch you’ve bought and we’ll tell you exactly what documentation we hold for it — and send it. If there’s no certificate for that batch, we’ll say so. No conditions, no minimum spend.

Our manufacturing source stays confidential — that’s a condition of supply, not evasion. It’s also why we’d rather you tested it yourself than took anyone’s paperwork at face value.

Why not just claim we test everything? Because you’d find out. The customers who come to us are the ones who went looking for a supplier that publishes purity data — they’re sceptics by definition, and they’re the worst possible people to overstate to.

That’s also why the vetting happens before a batch is held, not after a customer flags something.
